Patient Long Term Investors Will be Rewarded. Two Surprisingly Strong Looking Consumer Stocks.
Plus a refocusing on a Rainy Day Portfolio value play with underappreciated growth potential.
The stock market continues to respond to tariff related headlines. But if you take a step back, you’re likely to notice that the intraday price range has shrunk. That’s a good sign as it suggests that traders are getting used to the uncertainty and are refocusing on company related factors.
As a result, I am adding two new Trend Trade picks, reiterating a BUY on a long term Rainy Day Portfolio holding, and adding a new contrarian option play this week.
I suggest reading through this week’s Smart Money Trading Strategy Weekly, e-mailed separately to all subscribers of this service, as I discuss the current market’s situation in detail.
The Weekender Portfolio is designed for investors with a more relaxed attitude and longer term time horizons that our short term focused Smart Money Passport portfolio. Certainly, last week’s sector wide bet on natural gas is a perfect example of that approach. But when short term opportunities arise, we’ll take them. This week, I’m adding both a stock and an option trade to the portfolio with highly specific instructions to manage risk.
